The story starts off half a year from where The Hunger Games ended, the day that the Victory Tour is supposed to kick off. Both Peeta and Gale are ignoring her. The only people (other than her family, of course) that she really every sees are Madge, the mayor's daughter, and Haymitch. The entire Victory Tour part doesn't contain much detail, unfortunately. The first 170 or so pages are devoted to reintroducing the reader to the events of the last book, the Victory Tour, and Katniss/Peeta/Gale's relationships. I found this part a little bit boring to read, certainly not as good as the last book. It was sprinkled here and there with dry wit on Katniss', Haymitch's, and Cinna's behalves. Fortunately, things began to look up (or down, if you're in Katniss' shoes) when President Snow announced the Quarter Quell...
For future CF readers: Here's a hint. Go back through your copies of Catching Fire and look for the name Johanna Mason...
